ultimate是最终的意思，而和extreme则是极端的意思，前者一般形容好的，而后者多是指负面的意思。例如

We try our best to reach the ultimate goal, even there some problems on the way, we can overcome extreme problems then reach our final destination. 我们尽最大的努力去达到最终的目标，即使途中有一些问题，我们也可以克服极端的问题，然后到达最终的目的地。
