lookafter和carefor的区别

区别就是两者意思上大致是一样的两个动词+介词短语，可care for意思更广。

care for中文意思是，关心，照顾；喜欢

look after中文意思是照顾；关心；目送

I had a strong desire to help and care for people.我有一股强烈的帮助和关心别人的愿望。

The hospice provides care for the terminally ill.救济院为身患绝症的人们提供护理。

look after就是行为上比较具体的照顾,

比如:The mother is looking after her sicky son.

就不能翻译成 is taking care of……因为take care of是比较广义的照顾,一般都用来嘱咐说,照顾好自己或是自己的东西,

比如:Take good care of your handbag!

care for  1．like；be fond of 喜爱

如: She doesn't care for that colour．她不喜欢那种颜色. 

She did not care for him．她不喜欢他. 

2． 照顾:

 As an orphan,he is cared for by the local authorities．他是个孤儿,受到当地政府的照顾. 

He spent years caring for his sick mother．他数年中一直在照顾生病的母亲. 

有时可以通用

My parents took care of my dog.

My parents cared for my dog.

My parents looked after my dog.

（我父母照顾了我的狗。
