it是代词，would是情态动词。would是will的过去式形式，其中文意思是“(用于转述)将，将会；带出想象的结果；(表示可能发生的事情没有发生，是因为之前另一件事没有发生)就会”。

所以缩写形式

例句：1.We underestimated the time it would take to get there.

我们低估了抵达那里所需的时间。

It would appear that this was a major problem.
