歌曲背景

2004年雅典奥运会的火炬接力将是第一次真正意义上的全球火炬接力。奥运会的圣火将第一次在全球五大洲的土地上传遍。

奥运会圣火的采集仪式将在古老的奥林匹亚进行。在采集仪式之后，圣火将在伯罗奔尼斯传递七天。然后，圣火将开始它33个城市的全球之旅。而在七月九日，火炬将回到希腊，并将在希腊各岛屿以及内陆传递，于八月十三日在雅典的奥林匹克体育场结束他的漫长之旅。同时，这也将标志着2004雅典奥运会的开始。
