expect的句型

_anticipate有3层意思：1.预见，预料(并做准备) 2.期望，盼望 3.先于...做，早于...行动

expect有4层意思：1.预期，预料 2.等待，期待，盼望 3.要求，指望 4.猜想，认为(非正式)

anticipate强调预见性(并很可能为此准备)，expect强调期待

从《朗文》里的解释也能看出：

anticipate：to

expect

be ready for it

expect：to think that something will happen because it seems likely or has been planned；

用法：都可以接从句，anticipate 接动名词，expect 接不定式

don't anticipate sth/don't expect sth的侧重点：

we don't anticipate any problems.我们预计不会有什么问题。(强调预见性)

we don't expect any problems.我们不希望有什么问题。(强调期望)

再如：

Realistically, they do not anticipate a return to the peak years, but expect ongoing recovery.事实上，他们预计不会重返巅峰时期，但逐渐复苏可期。
