讲的是姆爷心中的一个恶魔， 也就是片头开始的电视里那几个关键词 ，包括名誉啦之类的 。

这里Monster也同样代表着对于艺人来说最大的恐惧：名利 隐私的曝光 药物的依赖 内心另一个邪恶的自己 任何负面的情绪都会成为你的心里的鬼 每天夜里潜伏在床底。

对于精神分裂患者来说，经常脑中会出现另外一个自己的声音，每个人内心都存在着一个善良的自己 和一个邪恶的自己，而对于Eminem来说Slim Shady显然就是那个邪恶的反派，但同样也是slim shady为Eminem带来了成功和名利，经过了多年的善恶斗争，最终Em还是学会了跟自己的另一面好好相处。

创作者Bebe Rexha表示，歌曲的创作灵感来源于她本人试图走出低迷时期的经历。
