1、tell的用法和常见搭配，tell的中文含义是:说;告诉;讲述。

例句:Tell him to wait for a few minutes, please.请告诉他等几分钟。

tell一般用作及物动词，常用于tell somebody to do something 这个结构中，表示“要某人做某事”，

如:Tel1 the kids to be quite， please. 请告诉孩子们保持安静。
