为什么elephant前面the要变音

因为elephant是以元音开头，所以the是要变音才方便读。

the[ði:] the 在以元音开头的单词前发[ði:] ,在以辅音开头的单词前发[ðə],如：the [ðə] book

严格地将非重读的/ɪ/念成/ɪ/，而不弱化为 介于/ɪ/和/ə/之间的音值 或 2. 直接弱化为/ə/

This is αn  elephant and the elephant is from Africa.

a和an都是不定冠词，后接单数名词，表泛指，前者a用于辅音音素开头的单词前，而an用于元音音素开头的单词前；the是定冠词，表特指。

elephant前面加 an，因为elephant是元音开头，如果元音开头，不定冠词必须用an。
