Unlike most period dramas,the series focuses on the brotherhood between the two male leads played by Xiao Zhan and WangYibo.On The show, Wang plays a hero who seems to be cold-hearted,but is actually very kind and righteous. As an Internet user wrote on Douban:"Through Wang's outstanding performance, you can clearly feel what the hero really feels and put yourself into hisrole".

Despite his recent achievement in acting,Wang was previously best known for being a member of the Chinese-South Korean boy group UNlQ.At the age of 14,he stood out in the National IBD Street Dance Competition and got the chance to be a trainee in an entertainment company. Thanks to his hard work and perseverance in training, Wang mastered many dancing styles and debuted in 2014.
