区别就是，单复数不同。

cows中文意思是n. 牛；乳牛（cow 的复数）

a cow中文意思是，一头母牛，一头奶牛

Cows are sacred to Hindus.印度教徒把牛奉为圣物。

Cows were grazing on the marshes.牛群在湿地上吃草。
