Chinese people,有中国国籍的中国人。也表示中国人，隶属于泛指中国人当特指某一群中国人时,加上the,如:
The Chinese people who look around in the supermarket are my clients

the Chinese 可以表示“（总称）中国人”或“中国人民”，例如：

The Chinese are a great people. 中国人民是一个伟大的民族。
